Love
The Conversation Series
Hosted by Dr Scherto Gill | 2020–2021
About the Series
A Narrative of Love is a series of conversations with thinkers, scholars, spiritual teachers and practitioners from around the world, exploring their understanding of love — and how they see its significance in our personal and political lives.
Launched by Dr Scherto Gill and Prof David Cadman, under the generous sponsorship of the Pureland Foundation and the Guerrand-Hermès Foundation for Peace (GHFP), and in collaboration with the Spirit of Humanity Forum, the conversations were created in preparation for the 5th Spirit of Humanity Forum — held in Reykjavik, Iceland in June 2021 — on the theme: “Towards a Loving World: Leadership and Governance for Well-Being.”
The project believes that it is a Narrative of Love that has the true potential to take humanity out of the present impasse toward the good life for all. Through exploring the power of love in practice, we can begin to heal ourselves and our planet; through leading and governing with love we can transcend the self-interests of the individual, group, and nation; and only by acting in love can we work together in building a better world.
